Last November, this beautiful dog lay trapped between two high concrete walls on the Ottawa bridge. Fortunately, a passer-by spotted him and called our SPCA for help.
Our inspector had to climb 4-5 metres down to where the dog lay, high above the busy freeway. Apart from being very thin and in poor condition, the dog also had biliary, a tick borne disease that can cause liver damage and even death.
But, thanks to support from friends like you, we were able to provide Ghost with the veterinary treatment he needed. It took over four weeks to restore him to good health, but Ghost made a full recovery and, on 29 December 2023, he went to his forever home.
Thanks to his wonderful nature, Ghost has settled in well with his new family, who have another rescue dog, Skye, also adopted from our SPCA.
Thank you for the role you played in this happy tail ... and so many others over the past year. We could not do the work we do without your concern for animals.
