Which one will you choose?

Because they cannot be re-homed for a variety of reasons, these cats live permanently at the SPCA – with cosy sleeping boxes, climbing frames, hammocks, scratching posts and hidey holes. Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of their food and care.

Tommy

TOMMY

Tommy just arrived at our premises one day and took up residence in the flower beds. He soon worked out where he could find food and claimed the food room as his new home.

He and MJ wait for staff member, Ralph, in the parking lot every morning, and as soon as Ralph opens up the food room, in they go!

Tommy is a very friendly and loving cat and seeks attention from anybody. He loves to sit on people’s laps. If no laps are available, he will find a sleeping spot on Ralph’s desk or chair, or on top of a pile of dog food. He often greets Ralph with a little meow.

MJ

MJ

It was love at first sight when MJ arrived outside the door of Facilities Supervisor, Ralph’s door. He reminded Ralph of his previous yard cat, Max and was soon dubbed MJ (Max Junior).

MJ loves being Ralph’s PA and can most likely be found sitting in an office chair next to Ralph. He’s very friendly and loves attention.

Thomas Junior

TJ

Our newest yard cat, Thomas Junior (TJ), arrived at our Coffee Cats Café one day and made himself at home. He reminded us so much of our late yard cat, Thomas, that we only felt it fitting to bestow the same name onto him in honour of Thomas’ legacy.

TJ is super friendly and will come and keep you company for as long as you would like him to. He’s very vocal and always up for a chat, and some tit bits off your plate.

Tigger

Tigger

Tigger is the newest member of our yard cat family. He is a very friendly and playful cat who is most often found in the charity shop.

He loves attention and will go out of his way to say hello.

Charlotte

charlotte

After spending several months in the cattery looking for a home, it became clear that wasn’t going to happen for Charlotte. At four years old, she was almost double the age of most of the other kitties for adoption. We couldn’t bear to see her spend another month without a home, so we welcomed her to our Yard Cat family.

Charlotte knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to growl until she gets it. A bit of a loner, she doesn’t like the other yard cats much. She definitely has a bit of a superiority complex, as she stares down at the others from her perch on the desk in the marketing office.

However, she does love human company. Her favourite way to spend the day is cuddling up inside the marketing storeroom or cupboard, popping out occasionally to say hello and have a snack.

Zack

zack

Zack’s eye-catching good looks – silky grey fur and stunning bright green eyes – ensure that he gets lots of attention.

Adventurous and charming, he loves to rub his face against yours and kiss your cheek.

Stacey

stacey

Stacey is a real little mischief! Don’t even try to have a cup of tea near her; she will insist on sharing your milk, and by sharing she means all of it of course!

She is a very playful girl, never sitting still for a minute, she will chase leaves and attack branches and fingers when they come her way.

It’s all in good fun though. She is a real people cat and loves being the centre of attention.

Amber

AMBER

Gentle Amber is our little yellow eyed, floppy eared kitty. She can usually be seen hanging out around the plant nursery and Coffee Cats.

Amber is a quiet, precious kitty who loves attention and pats.

Goliath

goliath

Our gentle giant, Goliath is a placid boy, but does prefer to be the boss!

He is very independent and spends most of his time curled up on a desk, getting his ears scratched.

Cooper

cooper

Cooper has a tiny meow and a big heart! He loves to cuddle and will happily lie on the table next to you while you enjoy a cup of coffee at Coffee Cats Café.

However, he is not all about cat naps – he also loves to play. Whether it’s with a leaf, a branch or a toy mouse, Cooper will get his paws on it!

This friendly boy loves to mingle, and spends the day wondering around our SPCA making sure to say hello to all the staff and visitors.

Rosie

ROSIE

With her unique ginger/tabby colouring, sweet Rosie is easy to reccognise!

She can be a little shy and prefers to hang out by herself in the hospital kennels area. But she’ll come when called and loves a little attention.

Skip

SKIP

Skip (so named because she hangs out in the skip area) is a cute little girl who is usually sitting at our front gate ready to greet guests coming in.

She is also great friends with our security guards and has proclaimed herself as their ‘manager’.

Baheera

BAGHEERA

Our handsome black ‘panther’, Bagheera, enjoys hanging out at Coffee Cats with his friends, Sophie and Bacardi.

He’s a playful young lad who won’t say no to some catnip and company.

Lay-la

LAY-LA

No, this is not a cat – but she’s very much part of the family!

Lay-La, our resident hen, likes to hang out in our nursery and Coffee Shop area, and can often be found snoozing on one of the couches. She’s very independent and living her best life at our SPCA.
