Luna

Long wait for ‘the one’

The one who walks past all the other dogs and stops at your kennel. The one who looks into your eyes and connects with your soul. They seem to sense how often you’ve been overlooked. How many times you’ve run to greet passersby who didn’t even give you a second look.

Then, when you’ve almost given up hope, along comes the one who chooses YOU!

What a joyful moment for poor Luna, who had been waiting patiently for her new family since November last year. She came to us as a stray from the Parlock area – just the other side of the N2 freeway from our Springfield Park premises.

Although she’s a real sweetie with so many good years ahead of her, she just never seemed to catch anyone’s eye – despite all our efforts.

Again and again we posted her picture on social media until finally, her moment came – she went home with her new family on 19 March.
