Popping up all over the place!

Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine having an SPCA charity shop in the prestigious La Lucia Mall! But, with the Covid-19 pandemic forcing some retailers out of business, and everyone finding creative new ways to trade, we were extremely fortunate to be offered a ‘pop-up’ store in the Mall at the end of July. Marketing Manager, Tanya Fleischer, with a team of dedicated volunteers, were kept busy stocking the shelves with our most attractive and valuable items. Less than a month later, we were offered another popup store in the Sunningdale Centre, which we occupied until mid October.

We are extremely grateful to La Lucia Mall and the Sunningdale Centre for this opportunity, which helped mitigate the devastating loss of income from our monthly Market Days and other fundraising events.

The support we received from shoppers was incredible. So much so that we have now opened a semi-permanent shop in La Lucia Mall.

Thank you to our enthusiastic volunteers and generous members of the public who keep the shelves stocked with donated antiques, clothing, oriental carpets and décor items. Please keep these donations coming, as both the new La Lucia shop and our established charity shop at the SPCA need to be regularly stocked up. Unwanted items may be dropped off at our SPCA in Springfield Park (not at La Lucia Mall, please) or call Chantall on 031 579 6534 for collection of large loads.
