I’m doing something a little different (and slightly out of my comfort zone!) – spending the night sleeping in a kennel to help raise funds for the SPCA as they celebrate their incredible 130 year anniversary!

This cause is incredibly close to my heart as I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially sausage dogs (the shorter the legs, the bigger the personality!!) Animals bring so much love, joy and unconditional love into our lives, and not all of them are lucky enough to experience that in return. It really breaks my heart to think of animals who feel scared, abandoned or alone.

By taking part in the kennel sleepover, I’m hoping to raise awareness and funds to support the amazing work the SPCA does every single day – from rescuing and rehabilitating animals, to providing them with care, shelter and second chance at a happy life filled with loads of love.

It might be one night for me, but for many animals this is their reality day after day. That thought really puts things into perspective and it’s a big part of why I want to get involved. Please help me turn one night of discomfort into a lifetime of comfort for an animal in need.
