Taking part in the 2026 Kennel Sleepover at the Durban SPCA feels like a chance for me to give back in a way that really matters. I know that one night in a kennel is nothing compared to what so many abandoned and vulnerable animals go through, but if it can help raise awareness and funds, then it’s worth every second.

I’ve always believed that the way we treat animals says a lot about who we are, and I want to be part of making their lives better, even in a small way. By taking on this challenge, I’m hoping to raise at least R5000 to help the SPCA continue the incredible work they do, from providing food and medical care to giving animals safety, love, and a second chance.
