Anyone who knows me knows that if there’s an animal to be rescued, cuddled or fussed over, I’m probably already halfway there! So when the Durban & Coast SPCA asked people to swap a warm bed for a kennel for one night, I thought, “How hard can one night be?” (Please remind me I said that at 2am!)

The truth is, I’m choosing one uncomfortable night because thousands of homeless, abandoned and abused animals don’t get to choose. For them, a kennel isn’t a fundraising challenge – it’s home until someone gives them a second chance.

I’m hoping to raise R5 000 to help provide food, warmth, veterinary care and love to animals who desperately need it.

Help “adopt” me out of the kennels and let’s give more animals the happy homes they deserve. If my snoring keeps the dogs awake, at least let it be for a good cause!
