A legacy of love

130 Pawsome years of ‘speaking’ for animals

Can you believe that our SPCA has been working tirelessly to protect animals since 1896? What an incredible legacy our founding members left behind.

We wonder if they had any idea that their fledgling SPCA Durban Dogs Home would not only survive the next 130 years, but would grow into the leading animal welfare authority in KwaZulu-Natal.

Their vision and compassion lives on in everything we do today – and thanks to today’s Bequest Society members, we have faith that our work will continue to be carried forward into the next 130 years.

Thank you for your commitment to animals, your generosity and your belief in the future.

Please consider encouraging your family and friends to join you in leaving a legacy to our SPCA – to ensure that care and compassion for animals continues to live on, long after we are gone.
