IF ANYONE NEEDED A BUDDY, IT WAS POOR WILLOW

Willow was ‘dumped’ outside our gate by someone who couldn’t even be bothered to bring her inside and make sure she was safe with us.

We tried our best to catch her. But she was so bewildered, scared and lonely. As soon as anyone came near, she ran away and hid in the thick undergrowth.

 She must have heard the other dogs barking and figured this was a good place to be. But she didn’t know how to get inside to safety. Or who to trust.

Until SPCA staffer, Mark, sat down quietly beside our fence and waited patiently for her to come to him. Sure enough, after a while Willow crept up to him and he was able to catch her and bring her inside.

Our SPCA heroes save animals every day. But it’s people like you who make this work possible, by ensuring there is always enough food, care and veterinary treatment for every animal that needs our help.
