Petrol4Paws Challenge

Posted on 2020-04-18 02:34:38

Having to stay at home for weeks on end isn't exactly enjoyable. Especially if you live in a small flat without a garden, or even a balcony, where you can get a sniff of fresh air and sunshine.

But if there is one thing to be grateful for, it's how much you're saving on petrol!

Normally, you'd probably have to fill up at least once a week. Travelling to and from work ... visiting customers ... ferrying kids to school and extra mural activities – it's amazing how quickly the tank needs topping up.

If you're saving a lot on petrol, please consider using some of those savings to help animals in distress. We're challenging you to donate the cost of a trip to work – or whatever you'd spend on petrol for a week – to our SPCA.

We really need your help right now because we haven't been staying at home during the Lockdown.

SPCA staff have been on hand to take in no fewer than 138 stray and unwanted dogs and 97 cats. Our Inspectors have responded to over two hundred calls for help; they've travelled all over the place, collecting strays and rescuing animals in distress.

Animals that need to be fed and cared for at our SPCA. And this is where your donation – made online here – would make all the difference. Please will you join our Petrol4Paws campaign now? All you need to do is:

  • Make a donation of any amount to our SPCA

  • Take a selfie in front of, or inside, your car – include your pet too if you like

  • Share your photo on social media with the hashtag #Petrol4Paws to let everyone know you support the SPCA.

Thank you for joining our campaign ... and for having a heart for animals in these anxious and uncertain times. We know times are tough, and you remembering the animals in our care means the world to us - and them!
