4 October: World Animal Day
Use this day of increased awareness to promote a compassionate culture aimed at making the world a fairer place for all living creatures. Lobby your supermarket to stock free-range eggs, chicken and other meat products, and encourage friends to make ethical choices.

Currently on: “Paws for the Camera” photo competition
Enter your favourite pet pictures online by clicking here and stand a chance of seeing your beloved dog, cat, horse or other companion animal featured in the 2018 Durban & Coast SPCA calendar! Competition ends Friday 13 October.

Mid December – Tree of Love
Look out for our SPCA Tree of Love in local shopping malls during the festive season. In return for a small donation, you can place your special message in honour or remembrance of a beloved pet on our tree, or place your message on the virtual Tree of Love on our website www.spcadbn.org.za
